In her role as Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting, Irene Buenavista performs a strategic role in the Director Leadership Team and the Finance and Accounting department. She is responsible for assisting in planning implementing, directing, and managing staff, operations, and administrative functions of the department to ensure the efficient completion of scoped client services and the development and adherence to client budgets.

Ms. Buenavista has accounting and office administration experience in the special districts, healthcare, construction, and engineering industries. Her background in an office setting and in customer service has shaped her organizational and time-management skills allowing her to recognize the value of completing tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Her systematic approach and strong work ethic are valuable qualities in her various duties.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Colorado State University.

Ms. Buenavista enjoys spending quality time with her family, as well as puzzles, board games and Colorado summers.
